Google’s annual fall hardware event is scheduled for August 12 at 3 p.m. PT, streaming live on the Made by Google YouTube channel. The showcase is expected to center on the next generation of Pixel phones and a new smartwatch, with several details already surfacing through leaks and rumors.
Pixel 11 family takes the stage
Multiple reports indicate the event will introduce the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Leaked images suggest the design language remains largely unchanged from the Pixel 9 series, with only minor refinements. A more radical redesign is not anticipated until the Pixel 12.
Under the hood, the devices are likely to run on Google’s new Tensor G6 chip. While performance gains over the Tensor G5 are expected to be modest, Google’s focus remains on powering on-device AI rather than chasing benchmark records. One rumor from DealLabs claims the base model will drop the 128GB storage option, making 256GB the new minimum — a welcome upgrade, though all configurations may see a $100 price increase due to global RAM shortages and industry-wide trends.
A novel feature teased by Google is a rear notification light, reportedly called HiLight (previously rumored as Pixel Glow). A leaked French marketing graphic shows it illuminating for priority contacts or when Gemini is active while the phone rests face-down. Additional functionality remains unknown.
On the software side, the Pixel 11 series will ship with Android 17 and showcase the latest Gemini Intelligence features introduced at Google I/O. As usual, Pixel devices are expected to lead in demonstrating Google’s newest AI capabilities.
Pixel Watch 5: familiar design, refined internals
Google is also likely to unveil the Pixel Watch 5. The design appears unchanged from earlier generations, which reviewers have praised as one of the best in the smartwatch market. A bizarre leak — a unit allegedly found underwater by a diver — shows the same silhouette. Upgraded internals are anticipated, but the extent of the improvements is unclear. Like the phones, the watch may carry a higher price tag.

Beyond the expected lineup, Google may use the event to expand its ecosystem. A leaked image published by 9to5Google suggests a Bluetooth tracker called Pixel Tag could debut, potentially supporting Ultra-Wideband for precise finding within the Find Hub network. Its presence at the keynote is unconfirmed.
Android XR glasses, developed with brands like Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, are slated for a fall 2026 release, and the event could offer a progress update. Samsung’s recent Unpacked reaffirmed that timeline, highlighting Gemini’s multimodal AI capabilities.
Finally, the rumored Googlebook laptop line might get a teaser. Running Android, these laptops could provide seamless cross-device integration with Pixel phones. Lenovo has already shared images of its upcoming Googlebook models, hinting at an imminent launch.
Google has not officially confirmed any product names or specifications beyond the event date. All details should be treated as speculation until the keynote.
