The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL, a tenkeyless gaming keyboard with adjustable optical switches, is currently discounted to $124.99 on Amazon, a reduction from its usual $159.99 price. The deal, first spotted by The Verge, applies to the wired model.

Unlike traditional mechanical keyboards, the Huntsman V3 Pro TKL uses optical switches that constantly sense key height. This allows for per-key actuation point adjustment ranging from a hair-trigger 0.1mm to a deeper 4mm, enabling gamers to tune sensitivity for different actions. The switches also support rapid reset without requiring the key to return fully to its top position, which can speed up repeated inputs.

A notable software-enabled function called Snap Tap is built into the keyboard. It lets players prioritize one keypress over another—for instance, alternating strafe keys in shooters—without fully releasing the first. However, this feature has been deemed controversial and is explicitly banned in competitive titles like Counter-Strike 2. It is disabled by default and can be toggled via the keyboard itself or through the Razer Synapse companion app.

While the hardware offers fast, customizable performance for a wide range of games, users should be aware that enabling Snap Tap may violate anti-cheat rules in certain competitive environments. The keyboard otherwise provides standard RGB lighting and onboard profile storage, with all settings adjustable in Synapse.
